Richter spent over a decade on Simon & Schuster’s Executive Committee as President, Children’s Book Division, and President of Sales and Distribution, and brings a wide range of publishing and media expertise to his role at Aevitas. His areas of interest include self-help, pop culture and music, memoir, history, science, politics and social justice, narrative food writing, and faith. He is also interested in select true crime, commercial fiction, and psychological/horror thrillers and diverse voices in all categories. He has extensive experience in children’s books, having overseen two of the nation’s top children’s publishers: Simon & Schuster and Candlewick Press and represents illustrators and children’s authors writing fiction and non-fiction from picture books through YA.
