Jenni Ferrari-Adler has twenty years of experience in book publishing and has been a literary agent since 2006. Her list includes recent New York Times Bestsellers, and Book Club Picks by Reese Witherspoon, Jenna Bush Hager, and Barnes & Noble. Jenni specializes in literary fiction and loves everything from traditional novels, to the dark and twisty, the voicey, the funny, and the strange. She represents family dramas, social novels, thrillers, horror, story collections, memoirs narrative nonfiction and cookbooks, and is genre agnostic as long as there’s a distinct voice and exceptional command of storytelling and language. Clients include: Maria Adelmann, Steve Almond, Miciah Bay Gault, Rebecca Dinerstein Knight, Lauren Morrow, Neel Patel, Ana Reyes, Adam Roberts, Gerardo Samano Cordova, and Susie Yang.
She holds a BA from Oberlin and an MFA in Fiction from the University of Michigan. She edited the anthology ALONE IN THE KITCHEN WITH AN EGGPLANT: Confessions of Cooking for One and Dining Alone which was published by Riverhead. She has publsihed own short stories and essays in places including Glimmer Train, Bellevue Literary Review, New York Magazine, and Tin House. She has taught Fiction at the University of Michigan and at The Gotham Writers’ Workshop.
Jenni lives in Brooklyn where she volunteers for Casa and enjoy doing many of these things simultaneously: cooking, walking the dog, wrangling the children, reading books, and watching television.
