Laurie Kramer, PhD, is a Professor of Applied Psychology at Northeastern University and a licensed clinical psychologist who has been researching and working clinically with children and families for several decades. Laurie is also Professor Emeritus at the University of Illinois where she was the Founding Director of the Family Resiliency Center. Dedicated to understanding the factors that foster supportive sibling relationships—a key contributor to mental health—she has designed prevention and intervention programs proven to make a difference in families’ lives. In addition to publishing dozens of scientific articles, Laurie’s work has been featured in a wide array of media including the New York Times, The Guardian, Time, NPR, Today.com, as well as multiple podcasts and books.
