Michael Watkins

Michael Watkins is the co-founder of Genesis Advisers and advisor to CEOs and senior executives worldwide as well as Professor of Leadership and Organizational Change at IMD Business School and director of top-ranked executive education programs. Watkins has spent his career at the intersection of research and practice: studying leadership under pressure while working directly with the people experiencing it. In 2023 he was inducted into the Thinkers50 Hall of Fame, joining a list of management thinkers that includes Peter Drucker, Clayton Christensen, and Charles Handy. Watkins is best known as the author of The First 90 Days: Proven Strategies for Getting Up to Speed Faster and Smarter, which The
