Dr. M Jackson is a geographer, glaciologist, National Geographic Explorer, TED Fellow, and award-winning science communicator. A three-time U.S. Fulbright Scholar, Jackson's work bridges research and public engagement, bringing glacier science and Earth systems to global audiences through public speaking, National Geographic expeditions, advising documentary films and television productions, and appearing regularly as an on-screen science expert, including on Netflix’s Pirate Gold of Adak Island. She is the author of Ice to Water, The Ice Sings Back, The Secret Lives of Glaciers, and While Glaciers Slept.
