KC Hysmith is an award-winning food and culture scholar, writer, and recipe developer who holds a PhD in American Studies from the University of North Carolina and a MA in Gastronomy from Boston University. She has written for publications including The Washington Post, Saveur, The Boston Globe, Food52, and Eater and is the co-author and co-editor of several books including When Southern Women Cooks (America’s Test Kitchen) and An American Girl Anthology (University Press of Mississippi).
