Jo Fairley became the UK’s youngest-ever magazine editor, at the age of 23 (editing first Look Now and then Honey), before embarking on a successful career in journalism and authorship. She has written features and columns for The Times, The Daily Telegraph, Red and Harper’s Bazaar, among many other publications, and for almost a decade had a column in The Mail on Sunday’s YOU Magazine.
She is author of more than two dozen books, including The Beauty Bible series, with Sarah Stacey – eight separate titles (and many editions), which became the world’s top-selling series of beauty books.
Jo has always juggled writing with a business career, co-founding Green & Black’s in 1991, with her husband Craig Sams. Together, they wrote Sweet Dreams: The Story of Green & Black’s (Random House). Jo remains a chocolate ambassador for the brand, and as an inspiration speaker, shares the story with a wide range of audiences. Other ventures include an organic bakery, Judges Bakery, and The Wellington Centre, a boutique wellbeing centre, both in her home town of Hastings.
Jo also co-founded BeautyBible.com The Perfume Society (perfumesociety.org), and remains Editor of the Society’s magazine, The Scented Letter – the only consumer magazine about fragrance, in the world.
