Jessica Maddox is an Associate Professor of Media Studies in the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia, where she researches and teaches on social media, pop culture, content creators, and influencers. Her work has appeared in over twenty academic journals, as well as Slate, Nieman Lab, Wired, Forbes, and The Conversation. She is the founding Editor-in-Chief of the academic journal Creator & Influencer Studies.
