Jeffrey Mathias is a historian of science whose work focuses on the sciences of subjectivity—psychology, psychiatry, and neuroscience—and their shifting methodologies, politics, and preoccupations. His writing has appeared in journals such as Parapraxis and Isis, and he is the co-editor of Reconsidering John C. Lilly (MIT Press, 2026).
