Dania Ramirez

Dania Ramirez’s career spans more than three decades. She got her start in music videos—for popular artists such as De La Soul, LL Cool J, Carlos Santana, Enrique Iglesias, Whitney Houston, and Jay-Z— before working on feature films, television and streaming series, and most recently, in music. Dania’s series credits include HBO’s award-winning Entourage, the NBC cult hit Heroes, and the critically acclaimed HBO drama The Sopranos. Her performance as Blanca in The Sopranos garnered her a SAG Award. She also starred in the popular Lifetime series Devious Maids, the police procedural Alert: Missing Person’s Unit on Fox, the Netflix series Sweet Tooth, the CBS series Tell Me a Story, and the ABC series Once Upon a Time. Dania made her feature film debut in Spike Lee’s Subway Stories: Tales from the Underground for HBO and subsequently was seen in two additional Spike Lee feature films: 25th Hour and She Hate Me. Dania has appeared in the blockbuster film X-Men: The Last Stand and in American Reunion, the fourth installment of the cult-classic American Pie films, along with movies opposite Mark Wahlberg (Mojave), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Premium Rush), and Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart (Jumanji: The Next Level).

In 2025, Dania began work on the feature-length action film Xiguapa, which brought her back to her home country of the Dominican Republic. She also launched her music career with the release of her debut single “Respira.” The song is a call to all those holding their breath—women, dreamers, daughters of diaspora—to exhale and take up space. Dania’s diverse talents will be further showcased in the new musical film Otra, by Armani Ortiz.
